CustomScan Ltd has now been involved in work in over 21 countries dealing with scanner feasibility studies, threat assessments, writing technical tenders, implementation and results monitoring. Currently one of the countries the company is working with is South Africa. The government has awarded a tender to Nuctech International Limited to supply the South African Revenue Service (SARS) with scanners at several locations, the first being the port of Durban where a mobile scanner has been deployed. Tony has been very much involved with this project from the initial planning phase through to the deployment and implementation of the first scanner in Durban Container Port.
